Home

We have now arrived in Newark on an eight hour plane consisting of eating, sleeping, reading, and watching tv. It’s good to be home but I already miss Europe. I hope you enjoyed following along on the blog. See you soon!

Geneva

Last night was took a shuttle bus to our hotel which is really close to the airport. We checked in and then went to the old city where we walked around and had dinner. For dinner we went to a restaurant where basically all they had was chicken. It was yummy. It is now 7 in the morning and we are heading to the airport for our flight. We have very little wifi so I can’t put any pictures up right now.

Leaving Vevey😭

After another nice buffet at our hotel, we got packed up and checked out of our room. Then we walked to a chocolate shop and did a workshop were we made our own chocolate bears and tried many samples! It was a lot of fun. We learned how all the chocolate pieces are put together to make cool shapes like animals. In the kitchen there was a faucet of milk chocolate and also one of dark chocolate! We got to put our fingers under them and try the chocolate. After the chocolate we shopped around through the town. Vevey is a very happening town. Then we put our bathing suits and took our final swim in the lake. Lastly we got some lunch and ice cream and then it was time to leave. We got our stuff and headed to the train station where we took an hour train to Geneva.

After Montreux we took an extremely hot 25 minute bus ride back to our hotel. We then walked to a nice part of the town where we went on a carousel ride and took another really refreshing swim at a different part of the Lake.

Montreux

Today, we took a boat to Montreux. When we got there we took a audio tour through a medieval castle. It was really neat and we saw some pretty views of the lake from some of the high Windows. After the tour we walked around Montruex and had lunch. Montruex felt very French.

Bonjour!

We have arrived in Vevey and almost everybody speaks French! This is because we are extremely close to France. When we arrived we went to our hotel and settled in. They upgraded us and now we have 2 connecting rooms instead of just 1! We got our bathing suits on and headed to Lake Geneva. The lake is beautiful but not as blue as the one by Interlaken. We got to a swimming area and hopped in. Considering it was a lake it was very warm. We swam to a dock and jumped in. It was very refreshing.

Waterfalls

In the morning we took a walk through the waterfalls right by our hotel. They were really amazing to see because we got to stand under one of them on a bridge. Sadly, we are now getting packed up to go to our next destination. We are taking the funicular and the boat again to Interlacken and then taking a few short trains to get to Vevey on Lake Geneva where we will be spending 2 nights in.
